Frequently Asked Marching Band Questions:

Q: When and where do rehearsals start?
A: The Marching Cougars have band camp August 19-23rd and August 26-30th from 8AM-3PM. After Band camp, we will rehearse Monday Tuesday Thursday from 3:15-5:00

Q: Will I be contacted over the summer?
A: Yes! Your section leader will be contacting you, and Miss Smith will be sending out information. If you are not contacted, please email Ms Smith with your information at esmith@frhsd.com

Q: What do I need to bring with me to band camp?
A: Yourself, your instrument, your music, a bag lunch, pencil, sun screen, hat or sunglasses, sneakers/athletic clothing, plenty of water, and thats it!

Q: How often are football games?
A: We will have a game every weekend. Home Games are Saturday afternoons, away games are usually Friday nights.

BAND CAMP INFORMATION
Arrival Location: Colts Neck High School Band Room (E103)
Meals: BRING A LUNCH, bring snacks, and bring lots and lots of water!
Hours: 8:00AM-3:00PM


Band camp checklist
  • Instrument
  • Music, drill, lyre (Music and drill will be given to you on the first day!)
  • Water
  • LUNCH
  • Athletic wear/shorts and a t-shirt (we will be outside, dress comfortably!)
  • Sunscreen
  • Sneakers! You will not be allowed to march in flip-flops
  • Hat!
  • Highlighter for drill
  • Pencil and highlighter

  • Instrument (only if needed - check with Miss Smith)
  • Transportation to performances
  • Uniform
